Sterile Compounding

Pharmacy Specialties & Clinic, Inc. is a PCAB Accredited® Compounding Pharmacy. PCAB Accreditation means that we have passed a rigorous process ensuring compliance with USP <797> and USP <800> and have an ongoing commitment to quality and patient safety. We have a state-of-the-art sterile suite including a certified ISO-7 positive-pressure clean room and two ISO-7 negative-pressure clean rooms. Designated areas in the pharmacy for compounding specific formulations reduce the risk for cross-contamination. We ensure patient safety with an extensive environmental monitoring and personnel validation program. In addition to hood and clean room certifications that pharmacies are required to do, we test our surfaces weekly to ensure that our cleaning methods are effective. Our sterile compounding staff receives ongoing training in aseptic technique that includes written and performance evaluations. We also follow a stringent protocol for sterility and endotoxin testing. We can compound a myriad of sterile preparations including injections, ophthalmic solutions, and irrigation solutions.
